Job Duties:
- Delivering engaging and interactive lessons to students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
- Following the lesson plans provided and ensuring all learning objectives are met.
- Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment.
- Providing feedback to regular teachers on student progress and any issues encountered.
- Collaborating with other staff members to support the overall educational goals of the school.
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Relevant teaching qualification
- Enhanced DBS check
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Experience:
Prior experience in a teaching role preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of the UK curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of different students
- Organisational skills and the ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training in special education or behaviour management
- Experience working with diverse student populations
Working Conditions:
- Work hours may vary based on school needs
- Classroom environment with the potential for interaction with students and other staff members
- Willingness to travel to different schools within the area
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
