As part of our skilled Team, you will work across all our sites in Rotherham, Doncaster and Scunthorpe as well as covering all the GP surgeries in the Doncaster area as well as roles based on site. This is a varied role where you will cover all aspects and areas of support including leading edge technology.

Main duties of the job
You will need to have the ability to deliver high quality IT Support, with an excellent knowledge of operating systems and software with the confidence and ability to effectively communicate complex information to users at all levels of the hierarchy and with differing skill sets.It is vital that accurate records are maintained and you will have a ‘getting it right first time’ attitude.
Whilst on the Service Desk you will be responsible for handling telephone support calls from our customers and providing a first-time resolution remotely. Furthermore, you will be expected to triage tickets submitted via email and the IT Self-Service portal.
You will be expected to investigate reported faults and to liaise with customers to effect appropriate repairs, achieving a satisfactory conclusion to faults within designated timescales and quality of service standards. You may also be required to analyse an IT problem and then design, test, implement, and document an appropriate solution.
Whilst in one of the Field Teams you will be expected to be independently motivated to complete work tasks at any one of our remote sites.
At interview you will need to demonstrate a willingness to learn and possess excellent organisational skills. You will be a team player with initiative, able to manage your own workload and meet service demands. You will also need to demonstrate good hands-on practical problem-solving skills as well as demonstrate your general IT knowledge.

Person specification
Education and Training
Essential criteria- GCSE Maths and English (Grades A – C) or equivalent
- NVQ II in Information Technology or equivalent level of experience
- CompTia A+ Certificate or equivalent
Experience
Essential criteria- Appropriate demonstrable experience working in an IT Infrastructure environment
- Experience of working in either a ServiceDesk environment or an IT support environment
- Customer Care experience
- Understanding the culture of the NHS
