Sports Centre Duty Manager (Weekends)
This is an exciting opportunity for a hard-working individual with exceptional customer service skills to join us as a Sports Centre Duty Manager at St Andrew’s School.
As a Sports Centre Duty Manager, you will play a key role in the safe and smooth running of the complex, whilst delivering excellent customer service to our sports centre customers. You will effectively manage a team of Recreation Assistants and Lifeguards, ensuring they fulfil their duties with the highest standards of presentation and professionalism.
This role is pivotal to ensuring our sports centre is safe, clean and well-presented, undertaking a range of duties to ensure this. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as Health and Safety Officer for the site whilst on duty
- Preparing, setting up and maintaining sports equipment
- Completing the daily facility check at the beginning of each shift
- Ensuring all Health and Safety checks are completed on a regular basis
- Overseeing the swimming pool plant and its maintenance
You will also play a key people facing role within the complex, including selling memberships, encouraging participation, supporting reception staff and dealing with customer enquiries.
This is a part time role working 08:30 to 14:30 each Sunday.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual, with good communication, organisational and administrative skills. Previous duty management experience would be desirable but is not essential. You will need a current NPLQ certificate, as you may need to act a lifeguard as required by the duty rota.A National Pool Plant Operators qualification is also desirable, but this can be obtained after appointment.
