MH Rehabilitation Services within the Specialist Network are seeking a forward thinking Clinical Psychologist to apply for an exciting opportunity at Wesham Rehabilitation Centre. The successful candidate will be part of an established MDT that has the needs of our service users at its heart.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and has proven clinical skills to provide and support the delivery of high quality psychological care to achieve rehabilitation and recovery goals. Your key role will be to ensure high quality clinical standards are achieved consistently by providing inspirational and visible clinical input to improve outcomes for patients.
You will be part of the psychology team which currently includes a Clinical Psychologist (Band 8a) and a Consultant Psychologist who has a wider responsibility for the Care Group.
You must have excellent communication skills, and a good working knowledge and understanding of mental health rehabilitation and/or adult mental health and the needs of individuals in this group. You will promote and maintain high standards of care whilst supporting and assisting to implement local and national strategies and initiatives.You will need to possess excellent interpersonal skills, have leadership and staff development skills. A strong commitment to your ongoing professional education and development is essential.
The successful post holder will be expected be flexible where needed to meet the needs of patients and the service.
Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
