SUPPORT WORKER

New Bridge Horizons, Oldham

NJC pts 5-11: £24,790 - £27,269 (full time/full year salary)

Full time (36 hours 40 minutes per week) / Full year

Commencing as soon as possible

New Bridge Horizons is a day provision for adults aged 19-25 years with learning and/or physical difficulties. Based in Oldham, New Bridge Horizons is a stand-alone Company affiliated to the New Bridge Group.

We currently have a vacancy for a number of resilient, energetic and highly motivated support workers to join our busy team based at our two current sites, Turf Lane, Chadderton and Link Centre, Oldham. Please note, staff are expected to work across both sites as required.

The main duties will be to help to meet the needs of our service users by providing a range of support within independent living, accessing employment opportunities and leisure activities. The level of support will be based on the individual needs of the service users, some of whom have complex needs and challenging behaviors.

It is essential that applicants have previous experience of supporting disabled people in undertaking everyday tasks including personal care. Applicants must also be able to demonstrate that they are a proactive team member and have genuine empathy with service users who have a range of learning and physical needs.

They must also have the physical resilience to be able to support those service users with mobility issues.
