We are looking for a 0.6 WTE Band 8a Clinical Psychologist to provide specialist neuropsychology support to the Westminster Neuro-rehabilitation Service, which is part of CLCH NHS Ttust.

This service offers interdisciplinary community neurorehabilitation in the borough of Westminster. There are a number of different care pathways offered by the service including neuro rehabilitation, assessment and advice for long term neurological conditions, disability management and support for rapidly progressive conditions.

The service includes an early supported discharge team (ESD) for stroke patients and a Specialist Neurological Rehabilitation Outreach Service (SNROS).

The post-holder will work across these different care pathways and be responsible for providing neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation for patients and their families. This will involve a range of work including cognitive assessment and rehabilitation, psychological therapy to help with emotional adjustment and engagement in rehabilitation, behavioural interventions, teaching and consultation.

We are looking for someone who has excellent clinical skills, experience of working with neurological conditions, the ability to communicate clearly to a wide range of professionals and an enthusiasm for service development.

There will beexcellent opportunities for CPD and we can provide supervision for psychologists working towards entry on the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists.

The role will involve working as part of an interdisciplinary community neuro rehabilitation team consisting of occupational therapists, physiotherapists and speech and language therapists. The clinical psychologist is responsible for providing neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation for patients with neurological disorders as well as providing support for their families and carers.

This includes cognitive rehabilitation, psychological therapy to help with emotional adjustment and engagement in rehabilitation, behavioural interventions, teaching and consultation.
