What you'll bring to the team:

Location: Chessington World of Adventures Resort, KT9 2NE

Hours: Fixed term contract to November 2025. Shifts starting 08:30am-19:30pm with 7-8 hour shift dependant on the time of year. Working weekends and bank holidays as required.

We are looking for hosts to actively educate our guests in an enjoyable and engaging manor, whilst monitoring presentation and safety of both guests and animals in zoo areas. To deliver and promote animal education and conservation supported by Chessington Zoo.

To lead educational talks/activities and deliver workshops as required – We help support incredible animal conservation work globally, and we want YOU to tell our guests all about it!

Day to day you will be:

  • Cleaning our sections to get them ready for guests at the start of the day and throughout.
  • Monitoring sections and interacting with guests all day.
  • Performing talks and shows to educate the public about our animals.
  • Performing as a character to engage children.
  • Taking an animal out to meet the public.
  • Learning scripts/ facts about our animals.

Qualifications & Experience:

All we need you to come with is the right positive attitude, enjoy working as part of a team and in a fast-paced environment, and be able to deliver jaw dropping fun to our Guests!

Candidates should have a passion for animals and enjoy learning about them, Be confident in public speaking, especially with large crowds and have an interest in animal conservation and education.

Training will be provided for all positions.

This role includes standing / walking, as well as being outside a lot of the working day.

Pay Range: Compensation between GBP £7.53/Hr.-GBP £11.44/Hr.
