Warehouse Worker/Delivery Driver - Wednesbury

We have 1 permanent, full-time position, Monday - Friday (38 hours per week) within our family-owned Wednesbury trade outlet. We are a packaging specialist company, looking for an energetic and outgoing person to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading vehicles – for in-bound and out-bound deliveries.
• Goods inspection/checking of deliveries
• Picking/Packing of orders
• Stock Management: Restock shelves and maintain inventory levels.
• Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse staff to meet company standards and customer expectations. You will maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• IT skills: Use computer systems to book in stock and monitor inventory levels.
• Delivering stock to customers: Across Birmingham and the Midlands.
• You will support the the day to day running of the warehouse (12,000 sq ft) and assist in stock control. You will be competent at building rapport quickly and creating trusted relationships to ensure that everything we do enables us to deliver our promises to our customers and exceed expectations.
• Initial three months trial with induction period of six months.

Person Specification:

• We are looking for someone who is organised, productive and has excellent numerical skills.
• Ideal candidate will have warehouse and driving experience with forklift work (counterbalance certification is prerfered).

• Experience of EPOS (electronic point of sale systems) is advantageous for managing inventory.

• Full clean driving licence.
• Team player – willingness to work collaboratively and contribute to our Team’s success.
• Customer service skills – strong communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent service.
• IT Knowledge (is desirable) - using Microsoft Word, Outlook & EPOS.
• Able to manually lift and carry up to 25 kilograms.
• Ability to work independently – to be self-motivated.
• Good timekeeper – able to work to deadlines.
• Ideal candidate must be willing to learn new skills – training will be provided.
