Do you have a passion for supporting children with disabilities and their families, advocating for their needs and promoting their well-being?

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities Team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the lives of children with disabilities, ensuring they have access to the right services and support, and their voices are heard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Needs Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of children with disabilities and their families, identifying their needs, strengths, and challenges.
  • Care Planning: Develop and implement individualised care plans that meet the unique needs of each child, promoting their independence, well-being, and inclusion.
  • Direct Support: Provide direct support and guidance to children and families, linking them to relevant services, and advocating for their rights and needs.
  • Collaboration & Partnership: Work closely with schools, health care professionals, therapists, other agencies, and families to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to support.
  • Court Work: Prepare reports and attend court hearings related to children with disabilities, advocating for their best interests.
  • Contribute to Service Development: Engage in ongoing professional development and actively participate in initiatives to enhance the team's knowledge and practice in supporting children with disabilities

We are looking for social workers with a strong understanding of the needs of children with disabilities, proven experience working with children with disabilities and their families, and a genuine commitment to their well-being and positive outcomes.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker: Must hold a relevant Social Work qualification (e.g. DipSW, BSc, MA) and be registered with Social Care England.
  • Experience with Children with Disabilities: Proven experience working with children with disabilities and their families, demonstrating a strong understanding of their needs and challenges.
  • Strong Assessment and Planning Skills: Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments, identify needs, and develop effective care plans.
