Educational Qualifications: Minimum grade 2 or above in Maths & English at GCSE level or equivalent.
Duties Include:
Fundamentals of specific vehicle systems, including but not limited to:
Steering & suspensionBraking systems
Battery & charging systems
Exhaust systems
Air-conditioning systems
Additional elements embedded into the qualification to enhance the delivery of the Level 2 Autocare standard, such as:
Interpersonal skills and customer serviceParts & managing stock levels
ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems)
FGAS
Basic electrical vehicle awareness
Career Progression:There may also be opportunities to progress to the Level 3 Motor Vehicle Maintenance apprenticeship upon successful completion of the Level 2 Autocare Technician standard.
Qualification: Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will achieve the Autocare Technician Level 2 qualification.

TrainingThis is a Level 2 Autocare Technician Apprenticeship, delivered by Robert Bosch Ltd.
Training is delivered on a block release basis at the Bosch Training Facility in Doncaster.
This means your college based training will be delivered away from home and you will be required to stay in a hotel for 12 separate weeks (Mon – Fri) over the 24 - 30 month duration of the apprenticeship.
All associated costs for training are met by the employer/the programme and there will be no cost to yourself/your parents or guardians.
Assessments will also be conducted in the work place by a dedicated training assessor. You will also be assigned a workplace mentor for support in dealership.
As a result you will receive the following qualification:- Autocare Technician Level 2
There may also be opportunity to progress to the Level 3 Motor Vehicle Maintenance apprenticeship upon successful completion of the Level 2 Autocare Technician standard.
Qualifications requiredMinimum grade 2 in maths and English GCSE or equivalent.
Skills requiredNo specific skills are required, however an interest in a career in the automotive industry/motor vehicles is essential.
Prospects
Possible progression to Level 3 Motor Vehicle apprenticeship and permanent role on successful completion of the apprenticeship.
