At Veritas, we work with schools across London and the surrounding areas including primary, secondary, and SEN schools. This includes private and independent schools as well as state schools.
We are currently seeking Cover Supervisors across all London boroughs who are able to work on a supply basis to begin asap. As a Cover Supervisor you will have control of your diary working on the days that you wish to work; you will be working from 8.30am - 4pm.
Your main duties and responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor will be as follows:- independently cover absent teachers across the school
- support students who have difficulties
- deliver pre-planned lessons
- encourage students to engage with their learning proactively
- help students reach their attainment levels
- manage behaviour effectively
- provide a safe learning enviornment
- liaise with senior staff /colleagues
- degree level qualifications
- must have a good understanding of the UK curriculum
- previous classroom /teaching/cover supervisor experience
- experience managing behaviour
- an understanding of leading and directing a class
- strong knowledge of safeguarding
- subjected to an enhanced DBS check (Online Updated) and 2 references on file
