Senior Family Support Worker
Location: Bromley & Greenwich Based in Bromley Contract: Permanent Hours: 35 hours per week Salary: £36,648 per annum
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of families and children Join our Client's team at a children’s charity and help us provide vital support to families in Bromley and Greenwich
Key Responsibilities:
Promote and manage our programs, ensuring effective internal and external referral processes, including needs assessment and safeguarding concerns.Manage a caseload of 4 families, delivering targeted interventions that focus on whole-family support.
Lead the CapeAbility In Schools program for 60 children annually, fostering resilience and self-esteem in Key Stage 2 students through engaging group activities.
Facilitate group work programs for parents, including Strengthening Families Strengthening Communities and Child Overcoming Domestic Abuse, empowering families through education and support.
Safeguard the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults, taking appropriate actions when necessary.
Provide practical and emotional support to families, offering advocacy and guiding them to specialist and universal services as needed.
Requirements
Experience of working independentlyExperience of safeguarding and the escalation processes
Recognised qualification in childcare, social work, social care, counselling, youth work or education
Experience of working with children and families
Experience of child engagement, child's voice work and ensuring they remain at the centre of interventions
