We are looking for a dedicated candidate for the post of Specialty Doctor/Dentist in Oral Medicine. This part-time substantive position will provide the successful candidate with a sound introduction to clinical Oral Medicine and provide additional insight into the influence of systemic disease on oral mucosal disease.

The Unit works closely with Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the other dental specialties within the dental hospital. Additionally, it has close links with the departments of Rheumatology, Dermatology, Ear Nose and Throat, Haem-Oncology, Gastroenterology and Genito-Urinary Medicine within the Trust.

The Unit is well supported by an enthusiastic nursing and management team.

Specialist interests include Sjögren’s Syndrome, Behcet’s disease, dysplasia, oral manifestations of systemic disease and autoimmune muco-cutaneous disorders. The service currently has multidisciplinary clinics involved in the delivery of the Behcet’s Centre of Excellence, Sjogren’s syndrome and more recently a dysplasia MDT clinic with OMFS and newly appointed CNS.
