Bradford Forster Academy, a thriving 11-16 Church of England secondary Academy, is seeking a dedicated Teacher of Humanities with an RE specialism and PHSE Lead to join our team.We are part of the Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust (BDAT), a growing Christian Multi-Academy Trust committed to providing education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice.

The Humanities Faculty comprises Geography, RE, Citizenship, and Travel and Tourism, offering a diverse and enriching learning experience. We are a well-resourced curriculum area with classrooms fitted with interactive whiteboards and access to IT rooms and laptops.
As a Teacher of Humanities with RE specialism and PHSE Lead, you will be responsible for facilitating and encouraging learning that enables students to achieve high standards. You will plan, prepare, and teach high-standard lessons, utilize assessment for learning (AFL) to impact individual student attainment, and contribute to school improvement.The PHSE Lead role supports the enhancement of the student offer, providing access to different ways of thinking and reinforcing the family structure of peer support within the school.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a qualified teacher with a degree in Religious Education, Theology, or equivalent.
- Has outstanding classroom practice and the ability to teach RE at KS3 and KS4.
- Can clearly demonstrate impact on improving attainment in KS3 and KS4.
- Is confident and effective in using AFL practices.
- Possesses knowledge of GCSE RE qualifications.
- Has strong experience working with children in a secondary setting.
- Is inspirational to colleagues and students, sharing best practice.
- Has up-to-date experience and knowledge of teaching up to GCSE.
- Is committed to promoting the Christian ethos, values, and truths in all elements of Academy life and education.
