Maintenance Technician

Your new company

Your new job role is working for a large globally recognised facilities management company who are looking for a Maintenance Technician to work on a large manufacturing site in Skelmersdale.

Your new role

• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems and make repairs.
• Inspecting equipment, buildings and systems, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning
• Perform electrical maintenance system checks (replace light builds and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc)
• Respond to technical issues affecting the buildings & facility management equipment and maintain services through PPM
• Completing small repairs such as fixing locks, toilets, leaky taps, broken doors and windows
• Checking and maintaining safety equipment such as weekly fire alarms, fire extinguishers etc
• Good understanding of CAFM systems
• Responsible for operating the CAFM systems to close completed fm PPMs and reactive tasks

• High school Diploma or GED equivalent
• Relevant certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, electrician are advantageous
• Full UK Driving License
• Proven experience as maintenance technician or in a similar industrial maintenance role
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
• Good understanding of CAFM systems
• Good understanding of fault diagnostic techniques
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including heavy lifting, standing, walking, climbing stairs etc
