Your new job role is working for a large globally recognised facilities management company who are looking for a Maintenance Technician to work on a large manufacturing site in Skelmersdale.
Your new role
Your new job role will include;- Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems and make repairs.
- Inspecting equipment, buildings and systems, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning
- Perform electrical maintenance system checks (replace light builds and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc)
- Respond to technical issues affecting the buildings & facility management equipment and maintain services through PPM
- Completing small repairs such as fixing locks, toilets, leaky taps, broken doors and windows
- Checking and maintaining safety equipment such as weekly fire alarms, fire extinguishers etc
- Good understanding of CAFM systems
- Responsible for operating the CAFM systems to close completed fm PPMs and reactive tasks
- High school Diploma or GED equivalent
- Relevant certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, electrician are advantageous
- Full UK Driving License
- Proven experience as maintenance technician or in a similar industrial maintenance role
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
- Good understanding of CAFM systems
- Good understanding of fault diagnostic techniques
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including heavy lifting, standing, walking, climbing stairs etc
