The firm is in high growth stages, offering a variety of capital markets products and operating globally, with a focus on emerging markets.

• Oversee the compliance department and ensure all activities meet regulatory requirements.
• Implement a market abuse and monitoring system
• Develop, implement, and maintain the bank's compliance policy framework.
• Advise the board and senior management on compliance laws, rules and standards.
• Coordinate with different departments to build a culture of compliance.
• Manage regulatory audits and inspections.
• Provide training to staff on compliance matters.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the compliance program.
• Stay current with changes in regulatory requirements and industry practices.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Chief Compliance Officer should have:

• Previously approved as an SMF16
• Manage the relationship with the regulator and key stakeholders
• Significant experience in a senior compliance role within a markets firm
• Expert knowledge of banking laws, regulations, and controls.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Ability to be hands on and 'do the doing' as well as report to the Board
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements.
