The background
Roxhill is a leading media insights SaaS platform that allows our 2,000 blue-chip clients to monitor and find the right journalists to engage with. New products are in the pipeline for release over the next 12-month period. With this rapid growth comes the need to scale up our financial operations.We now require an in-house management accountant to support the business through this period of growth.
The role and what are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with 2-3 years of working as a management accountant. This is a broad role and will give exposure to many areas of Finance. The management accountant will be responsible for preparing the management accounts, supporting junior members of the team who process the Purchase ledger, Sales ledger and banking.This role offers development and an opportunity to get involved in the scale up and development of processes, and automation of systems.
Being an organised team player, adaptable to change and a problem solver will be a key requirement in a growing company. As a support function of the business the finance team aims to add value not only to our clients but also to our internal teams from Sales to account managers.
Your specific responsibilities:
General ledger- Prepare the management accounts with commentary
- Computation and posting of accrual journals
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Intercompany reconciliation with the US subsidiary
- Maintaining payroll reconciliations and journal posting
- Reconciliation of the aged creditors report to the TB
- Computation of the annual P11D and PSA liability
- Processing of supplier invoices and expenses into Xero and preparing the weekly payrun
- Processing of credit card expenses and reconciliation of the account
- Would be suitable for part qualified level 2 CIMA/ ACCA studier
- 2-3 years of experience working in Finance supporting the preparation of the management accounts and posting journals
- Personal and able to develop and maintain strong relationships with both external clients and internal colleagues
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Organised with the ability to prioritise tasks as needed throughout the financial month
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office and different accounting software
- Professional, confident and diplomatic when liaising and communicating
- Good time management
- Team player
