We are looking for Executive Assistants to join our Headquarters Team supporting our Executive Directors at a really exciting time! We are looking for an AfC band 7 Senior Executive Assistant to provide maternity cover for the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive from early January 2025 on a fixed term basis for 9 – 12 months.

This role is full time and are based at St Pancras Hospital in Camden. They involve being based in the Headquarters at least three days per week, but with flexibility to work from home the rest of the week and with flexibility around the days in the office.

The roles will work closely with the Chief Executive, the Executive Team and other senior colleagues internally and externally.

The Executive Assistants will play a key role in supporting the Executive Team in delivering the planned improvements in patient care and the working lives of staff identified in our Partnership Strategy and our plans for our new Trust. Both post holders willprovide comprehensive, efficient and effective Executuve Assistant support, one to the Chief Executive and one to the Chief Digital and Information Officer and her senior team, as well as being part of the overall Headquarters Team.

The roles include diary coordination, administrative support, preparing and coordinating briefings, taking minutes, drafting correspondence and reports, planning and supporting projects.

To provide comprehensive, responsive, efficient and effective support to the Chief Executive enabling them to focus on strategic issues affecting the Partnership and the wider health economy. This will include diary coordination, corporate support, preparing and coordinating briefings, taking minutes, drafting correspondence and reports, business planning, administration support for major projects and leading on minor projects.

The partnership between Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust (BEH) and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) is going from strength to strength since it was originally established in 2021 forming the North London Mental Health Partnership.

Key Requirements
  • Demonstrate significant experienced in working at Board level, being able to communicate with senior members of staff, external stakeholders, varied professional groups, patients, carers, the public and regulators.
  • Minimum of five years in a senior administrative / EA role within a large complex NHS organisation or similar environment
  • Ability to plan and organise very senior staff diaries, meetings and take formal minutes
  • Experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines in a fast paced office environment
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Proven ability to work with autonomy and to exercise initiative and influence
  • Ability to plan and organise own work to meet demanding deadlines to agreed standards
