SEMH Teaching Assistant
Do you have the expertise to support a child with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
Are you able to guide them on their learning journey and provide positive, nurturing mentorship?
If so, this could be a highly rewarding opportunity for you!
We are currently recruiting for a Children's Mentor in Rochdale and need a compassionate and understanding individual with a solid grasp of working with children who have SEMH needs.
The role involves providing 1:1 support, as well as working with small groups, helping children access their learning and build confidence in the classroom.
While experience as a Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, or Learning Mentor is advantageous, we welcome applicants with any relevant experience working with children with SEN/SEMH.
As part of a mainstream educational setting, you will assist children in engaging with tasks set by the class teacher, supporting their educational development and self-esteem.
Safeguarding children and young people is our top priority. All candidates must pass thorough safeguarding checks, including a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. If you are not currently subscribed to the DBS Update Service, you may need to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process.
We provide all registered candidates with free safeguarding and Prevent Duty training to ensure you are fully equipped to support the children in your care.
