Job Overview

This role is crucial in ensuring efficient materials handling, optimising business processes, and managing a dedicated team to meet operational goals.

• Supervise daily warehouse activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Manage shipping and receiving operations, including the coordination of logistics for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Utilise the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and optimise storage solutions.
• Oversee heavy lifting operations while ensuring proper materials handling techniques are followed by all team members.
• Lead a team of warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to enhance productivity.
• Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
• Implement best practices for inventory control and stock management using AS400 or similar systems.
• Continuously assess business processes within the warehouse to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.

• Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar supervisory role within a logistics environment.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures, as well as materials handling techniques.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and experience is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment. .
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
