As an assessment social worker, you will be responsible for conducting assessments for children and families referred to Children's Social Work via MASH. You will work closely with other professionals, such as health visitors, teachers, and police officers, to gather information and make informed decisions about the welfare and safety of children.
This role will involve conducting home visits, writing reports, and attending court hearings when necessary.
About you
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, proactive professional with a strong working knowledge of Children's legislation and specific experience in Assessment, Children In Need and Children Protection. A degree within Social Work Degree/DipSW/CQSW is essential along with a minimum of two years' experience working in a Children's Services setting.
