What you'll do
You’ll join a high-performing team of Architects and Analysts shaping the future of our Banking-as-a-Service platform. This role will focus on operational platforms and processes—bringing architectural ownership and strategic direction to operational tooling, in-life customer management, and internal workflows—while ensuring seamless integration across the broader ecosystem.
You’ll also:
- Design and oversee scalable, secure, and maintainable operational platforms ensuring alignment with best practices, regulatory requirements, and business objectives
- Define and optimise operational workflows to improve efficiency, scalability, and integration with existing systems while maintaining compliance
- Facilitate workshops with Operations, Product, Engineering, Risk, and Security to refine business needs into actionable technical requirements and support implementation
- Document and communicate key architectural decisions and trade-offs using tools like Architectural Decision Records (ADRs) and Requests for Comment (RFCs)
- Participate in architectural governance, contributing to design reviews and ensuring consistency and scalability across teams
- Contribute to the wider architectural community by developing and sharing principles, patterns, and best practices that improve system design
The skills you'll need
You'll bring experience in operational architecture, business process optimisation, or service management, with an ability to bridge the gap between business and technology. As well as experience shaping and improving operational processes, ensuring integration with technology, automation, and compliance needs.
You’ll also need:
- Technical fluency in application architecture patterns and modern design approaches (e.g., cloud-native technologies, APIs, microservices, event-driven systems), along with familiarity with common programming languages
- A systems-thinking approach to designing scalable and efficient business and operational workflows, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements
- Ability to define how systems, workflows, and teams interact, ensuring a balance between business needs, efficiency, and architectural best practices
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, working across business, operations, risk, compliance, and technology teams to drive alignment and transformation
