• Oversee daily production operations, ensuring efficient workflow and meeting production targets.
• Lead and manage production teams, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and performance.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards (BRC, HACCP) and maintain high-quality production standards.
• Monitor and optimize production schedules to maximize output and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure machinery is operating efficiently and safely.
• Implement and monitor KPIs to drive continuous improvement in production processes.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure the timely procurement of raw materials for production.
• Foster a collaborative work environment, promoting employee training, engagement, and development.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Production Manager should have:

• Qualifications in operations, engineering, food science, or related field.
• Demonstrable experience in a production management role within the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards (BRC, HACCP) and experience in compliance.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage production teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with experience in process optimisation and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to drive performance improvements.
