Job Description- Manage financial aspects related to purchase transactions, including invoice processing, payment authorisation, and record keeping.
- Monitor and resolve all purchase ledger queries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Prepare and execute payment runs, ensuring supplier accounts are reconciled.
- Support month-end processes such as accruals and prepayments.
- Work closely with the wider accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Perform credit checks on potential suppliers and maintain existing supplier relationships.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant legislation.
- Participate in regular team meetings to share best practices and discuss improvements.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Purchase Ledger should have:
- A strong educational background in Accounting & Finance or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- A high level of proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- The ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- A competitive salary, ranging between £27,750 and £30,250 per annum.
