Health Care Assistant - SEN School

Join Teaching Personnel as an Educational Healthcare Assistant at leading SEN schools across Lancashire. The schools are dedicated to empowering and supporting their students to reach their full potential.As an Educational Healthcare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with a range of additional needs, including physical, emotional, and learning challenges. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create a nurturing, safe, and inclusive environment, enabling our students to thrive both academically and socially.
Key Duties:
- Provide personalised care by assisting with daily living activities such as feeding, personal care, mobility needs.
- Support learning by assisting in the classroon, working one to one or in small groups to facilitate learning and engagement.
- Collaborate and work closesly with other members of the school such as teachers, SENCO's and other support staff.
- Monitor childrens progress by keeping detailed records of students progress, behaviour and development.
- Promote independence by encouraging stidents to focus on their learning and supporting their social and emotional development.
What are we looking for?:
- Experienced health care assistants or support workers.
- Experience in an educational setting is desirable but not necessary.
- A proactive and flexible approach, able to adapt to the unique needs of each individual student.
- Relevant qualifications and care certificate.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as a team.
