Your Role
Capgemini Financial Services is seeking an experienced SAS Consultant to join our team within the banking and financial services sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, programming, and analytics, with a focus on utilizing SAS in a commercial environment.

- Develop, maintain, and optimize SAS code for data extraction, transformation, and reporting tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that meet business requirements.
- Conduct data analysis and validation to ensure data integrity and quality.
- Work with large datasets, utilizing SQL for query building and data manipulation.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and direct marketing legislation in all data handling processes.
- Collaborate on data integration projects with Teradata and/or Hadoop databases.
- Proven experience in the banking or financial domain.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with SQL syntax and logic for data manipulation and analysis.
- Proficient in SAS (or R) programming languages, with commercial experience.
- Hands-on experience with Teradata or Hadoop databases for data storage and retrieval.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including data analysis, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
- Understanding of Data Privacy and Direct Marketing legislation, with a focus on compliance.
