We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for the position of IMS Business Intelligence Analyst.

Business Intelligence Analysts leverage technical expertise and business understanding to deliver valuable insights into the key drivers influencing various aspects of the organization.

Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to identify areas of the business that could benefit from analysis.

Reviewing data collection processes and assessing the validity of the information stored.

Understanding the laws surrounding the collecting and processing of data and ensuring that all policies reflect current legislation.

Using, researching and assessing data processing software.

Identifying anomalous data and examining and eliminating any processes or procedures that contribute to unreliable data being collected.

Working closely with the IT department to ensure that the data collection and storage systems are secure and robust.

Main duties of the job

A Business Intelligence Analyst, or Business Analyst is responsible for collecting and analysing data to identify trends and patterns that inform future business decisions.

Must work closely with various teams to establish performance metrics, create reports and dashboards, and communicate findings to help guide business decisions and strategies.

Education and qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Postgraduate Commercial Procurement Supply Chain Operations and Transformation related qualification or equivalent qualification and/or experience.
Desirable criteria
  • Educational qualification or relevant experience

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
  • Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master’s level equivalent

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Member of a professional body
  • Experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments
  • Experience of managing risks and reporting
  • Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence
