Provide strategic direction and leadership for the whole pharmacy team ensuring there is a career structure for all staff including induction, in role development and succession planning to ensure a competent and consistent workforce. Lead on the development and evaluation of an LYPFT pharmacy workforce strategy, considering local and national changes to pharmacy services and the needs of the Trust and population of Leeds.
Lead, develop, deliver and evaluate partnership working initiatives with education providers to ensure that LYPFT staff have access to a range of funded development opportunities to support the delivery of the workforce strategy. As a member of the Senior Pharmacy Team help develop a strategic vision and delivery plan for the Pharmacy Department and take a lead role in supporting the team to implement this through provision of managerial, professional support, direction, and advice.
Provide leadership across the organisation regarding medicines related training for all staff to ensure a medicines-competent organisational workforce. Line manage members of the pharmacy team, cover for other senior colleagues and deputise for the deputy or chief pharmacist as appropriate.
