You will be working for a well known Public Sector organisation in Adult Social Care based in London

Job Description

As Assistant Business Manager your role will focus on the provision of procurement delivery across all of the organisations projects and programmes. You will oversee the Business Support Team in securing the best contractors to deliver their work, monitoring the full contracting process and ensuring this is applied in a manner consistent with relevant policies and procedures.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Assistant Business Manager will possess the following:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding and often changing environment, preferably in the public sector.
  • Well versed in the range of business tools and systems such as Matrix Management and Delta.
  • Strong communication skills to engage actively with colleagues at all levels across the organisation and beyond to maintain positive working relationships for the Business Support Team.
  • Good understanding of procurement principles and their practical application
  • Experience of managing a complex workload, preparing plans and meeting deadlines and milestones.
  • Experience of line management and/or development of others
  • Good understanding of budget management and financial reporting principles
  • Experience and knowledge of office systems and procedures, ideally gained in a business support or project-based environment.
