Maintenance Engineer - Great Yarmouth

Henderson Brown is delighted to be representing our client within the Food sector, seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This is a key hire for the business, in which you will be responsible for both solving breakdowns and preventative maintenance on their processing and packaging machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct preventative maintenance and perform timely repairs.
• Support production and packing departments consistently.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.
• Follow HSE protocols, including Permit to Work and Risk Assessments.
• Ensure safety by always adhering to lock-off procedures.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and take necessary actions.
• Complete general maintenance tasks such as lubrication and schedule adherence.
• Undertake small projects and modifications as required.

Requirements:

• A Level 3 equivalent qualification Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, such as an NVQ/HNC/ONC or City and Guilds etc
• Previous experience within the food industry
• Knowledge of 17th Edition I.E.E. regulations
• PLC Fault finding skills, to I/O Level
• A positive, proactive attitude
• Ability to read, understand, and work with schematic drawings
• Welding experience (MIG/TIG/ARC)
• Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a plus

This position functions on a 2-week rotation, as follows:

• Week 1 - Monday to Friday 05.00 - 15.00
• Week 2 - Monday to Friday 16.00 - 02.00
• One Saturday in four 06.00 - 12.00
