Job Description:A fantastic and supportive SEN primary school in Bolton is seeking a qualified, dedicated, and passionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing one-on-one and group support to students with diverse learning needs, helping to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with a range of SEN including autism, learning difficulties, and behavioural challenges
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons and activities
- Provide one-to-one support to students who require additional assistance
- Encourage and promote independence, social skills, and emotional wellbeing in students
- Monitor and track progress, ensuring that the individual needs of each child are being met
- Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students
- Create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
- Follow school policies and procedures for safeguarding and health and safety
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK school setting, specifically supporting students with SEN
- A recognised qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent (Level 2 or 3)
- Strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and related policies
- Excellent communication skills, both with students and staff
- A proactive, patient, and caring attitude
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Commitment to providing the best support for children with special educational needs
Desirable:
- Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, or other complex needs
- Team Teach or similar positive behaviour management training
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle
