East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) ensure the best possible quality of life and make every moment count for children and families across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. Our family-centred approach includes specialist nursing care, symptom management nursing, short breaks, wellbeing activities, therapies, care at end of life, bereavement support, counselling and volunteer services in the family home; all meeting the individual needs of the child, young person and whole family.
In 2020, all three of our hospices; The Nook (Norfolk), The Treehouse (Ipswich) and Milton (Cambridge) were rated OUTSTANDING by the Care Quality Commission.Our people are central to our success. We have a talented workforce of staff and volunteers in Care, Fundraising, Retail, Facilities, IT, Finance, Marketing & Communications and Human Resources.
We employ around 400 employees and have more than 1,800 volunteers across the organisation, including 49 shops and a Retail Distribution Centre.

Full-time 37.5 hours per week - 5 days over a 7 day week
Permanent Contract
Salary: £25,266 per annum + mileage reimbursement
*Full UK Driving License and own transport - essential criteria for this role*

Are you:
Able to adapt to last minute changes and flexible to work in different locations.Able to work on your own initiative and problem solve.
Do you have:
Previous retail experience - charity shop experience is preferred but not essential.Hands-on approach and the ability to motivate a team of volunteers.
Experience of maximising sales & generating income.
Responsibilities include:
Co-ordinate volunteer effort to ensure that the shops maximise their turnover whilst minimising costs.Ensure that volunteers are well informed and motivated so that they can develop to their individual potential.
Maintain a high standard of display, presentation and cleanliness throughout the shops.
Manage and undertake the sorting, moving and storage of a high volume of donated goods.
Ensure that all monies are banked, and financial returns completed on a weekly basis.
Responsibility for all aspects of security – stock, premises, money (retail income and cash donations) and volunteers / staff.
