Job Description- Manage and oversee engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Liaise with the Operations team when scoping new projects to ensure that all design information is provided in line with project budgets/timescales, promoting innovation & compliance.
- Manage tender submissions for all subcontract/ supplier & plant and materials purchase aspects of a project & in ensure procurement targets for the project are achieved.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks.
- Effectively communicate project status to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement project strategies.
- Continually assess project performance and implement improvements as necessary.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Project Engineer should have:
- Degree in Engineering Project Management/Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Chemical Engineering.
- Proven experience in project management within the industrial / manufacturing industry.
- Allocates/delegates work based on an assessment of task complexity & personal capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Full Driving Licence (ideally clean) and access to own vehicle as travel will be required to other sites.
- A competitive salary range between £45-£55k per annum, plus a £6k car allowance.
