Learning Support Assistant (Fixed Term, Part-Time)

Teaching Personnel is delighted to offer a rewarding opportunity for a passionate and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Chesham. This role is ideal for an individual with a commitment to helping children thrive, particularly through one-on-one support.
About the Role:This position involves working closely with a child on a one-to-one basis, providing tailored support to help them achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. The role is part-time and term-time only, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule while making a meaningful impact in a child’s life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized support to a student, adapting strategies to their unique learning needs
- Assist the child with their learning and development in the classroom and during activities
- Encourage independence and engagement, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure the child’s progress and wellbeing
- Record and track progress, providing feedback to teaching staff
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience working one-to-one with children, ideally within a school setting
- A patient, compassionate approach and the ability to engage effectively with young learners
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with teachers and staff
- Relevant qualifications or training in child development or support work are desirable
