Clinical Nurse Specialist -School Nursing Team
- An exciting opportunity for motivated and energetic nurse who enjoys working with children and young people with a variety of complex health and learning needs.
- The role evolves working in a special school setting , alongside our education colleagues to ensure children and young people are given fair equal access to education.
- We are looking for a band 6 nurse to join a team of mixed skill nurses to support children and young people in a school for CYP aged between 4-19 years old.
- You will have good clinical skills as well as be willing to learn new skills. You will able to plan your workload and pre-empt the needs of the children on your caseload.
- You will be giving tracheostomy care, feeds via jejunostomy, gastrostomy, safe administering of medication, airway maintenance using suctioning etc.
- You will delivering care for the CYP while they are in their lessons and ensuring their education is as uninterrupted as possible.
- Your must also have good safeguarding awareness and be happy working within a team.

Essential criteria- national child protection and safeguarding preceedures
- level 3 mandatory child protection training within the last 3 years

- minimum 3 years post registered experiance
