Hays Senior Finance are working with a well-known brand in the service sector as they recruit for a Management Accountant on a 6-month contract basis. Our client is currently embarking on a business change programme and, as a result, is looking to strengthen their management accounting and performance reporting offering.Based in City Centre Glasgow, this is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and will offer a competitive salary of £60,000 per annum.
Our client offer a dynamic and fast-paced working environment with the opportunity for possible extension. With a strong commercial finance team, our client is looking for a Qualified Accountant or Qualified by experience Accountant with exposure within a complex organisation and strong stakeholder management skills to make an impact on business operations.
Your new role
This is an exciting opportunity where the Management Accountant will work across multiple service lines and projects, gaining access to a variety of business stakeholders. You will be responsible for the monthly management accounts process, providing business reviews including financial modelling.Strong analysis experience will be required here, working with large volumes of data and providing meaningful MI to business stakeholders. You will provide financial planning and analysis advice and guidance to management and ensure the end-end management accounting process runs smoothly.
You will work alongside a team of management accountants and business partners and will report to the Business Partner Manager.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, candidates will have experience in a project or management accounting environment with experience in modelling and forecasting in a complex business. You will need to have strong commercial awareness and be able to articulate messages to financial and non-financial stakeholders.This role will start in early March for a period of 6 months initially.
