An opportunity has arisen at Kings Norton Girls’ School and Sixth Form (KNGS) for an exceptional teacher of English to cover a maternity leave from September 2025. KNGS is an OFSTED Outstanding school and is part of the West Midlands Multi Academy Trust with a comprehensive intake and a co-educational sixth form.

The post is available on a full time, temporary contract. ECT applications are welcomed, a minimum contract covering academic year 2025/2026 would be available for an ECT. ECT’s will also have the full support of a mentor and an ECT training programme

This role represents a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional teacher of English to join Kings Norton Girls’ School and Sixth Form. We are an outstanding school, achieving excellent pastoral and academic outcomes for students within a culture of care, concern and well-being for both students and staff.

The English faculty comprises 10 teachers, many of whom have post-graduate subject qualifications and examiner experience, and who form a well-established, dedicated and highly experienced team, working closely with each other to achieve the best outcomes for our students.

The successful applicant will be an effective classroom practitioner, committed to improving learners’ experiences and attainment through working collaboratively and being willing to adopt new ideas. You will have the ability to teach English at KS3 and KS4.
