The Behaviour Support Assistant will work closely with teachers and other staff members to support students with challenging behaviour. Duties include implementing behaviour management strategies, providing one-on-one support to students, assisting in de-escalating challenging situations, and maintaining detailed records of student progress and behaviour incidents.- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
- Previous experience working with children or young people with behaviour difficulties
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
A relevant qualification in Education, Psychology, or Social Work is desirable.
At least 1 year of experience working in a similar role within an educational setting.- Understanding of behaviour management techniques
- Ability to build positive relationships with students
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
The role involves working within a school environment, supporting students with challenging behaviour. This may require some flexibility in working hours and occasional participation in training sessions.
