Job Title: Finance Assitant
Location: London (Hybrid working pattern; 3 days per week in Central London office)

Salary Range: Up to £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-obsessed Finance Assistant to take end-to-end ownership of our corporate credit card operations. You’ll take charge of all card management — knowing every detail, ensuring smooth processing, improving approval flows, and driving cost control.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-end ownership of corporate card operations: issuance, approvals, reconciliations, reporting
  • Investigate and resolve issues with precision and speed
  • Improve approval flows, cost tracking, and processes
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental stakeholders to spot opportunities and optimize spend
  • Lead finance projects to enhance operational efficiency, control frameworks, and reporting quality
  • Support wider finance functions as needed
  • Be a positive, proactive team player

Who Will You Report to?

You will be reporting to the Finance Manager at PetLab Co., and we’re thrilled to bring someone into the team who’s passionate about operational excellence. As we scale globally, managing our corporate credit card program has become increasingly critical—not just for smooth processing, but for ensuring we’re spending smartly, staying compliant, and constantly improving.

We need someone eager, curious, ownership-driven, but hungry to learn and help the whole team thrive. You’ll partner closely with me to identify areas for improvement, automate manual steps, and bring best-in-class cost control to the business.

Requirements
  • 6 months – 1 year experience in a finance-related role preferrable, ideally with exposure to card payments or financial operations.
  • Educational background in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline is valued.
  • Passion for ownership, improvement, and learning
  • Collaborative team player, with adaptable and proactive approach.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong communicative skills.
  • Excited to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Genuine interest in pursuing further accountancy qualifications. (ACCA/CIMA)
