Warehouse Operative

CNC Recruitment are currently looking for a reliable Warehouse Operative to join our client in the Chard area – a well-respected engineering company.

This is a temporary position with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role after 16 weeks, subject to performance and operational requirements.

Location – Chard

Pay Rates:

• For general warehouse duties (packing, order processing, etc.), the pay rate is £12.21 - £13.20 per hour, depending on experience and suitability; higher rates may be offered for suitable candidates.
• £14.12 per hour if the candidate has a valid forklift license.
• Lower rate applies for tasks such as packing and general warehouse work

Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Duties:

• Picking and packing of goods for dispatch
• Processing incoming and outgoing orders using basic SAP systems
• Loading and unloading deliveries, including manual handling tasks
• Operating forklifts (if licensed)
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized working environment
• Performing stock checks and assisting with inventory control
• Labelling and preparing goods for shipment
• Assisting with general warehouse tasks as required

Requirements

Skills & Experience:

• Must have basic SAP knowledge for order processing
• Previous experience in warehouse operations is preferred, but not mandatory
• Ability to process orders and work with basic systems for tracking and processing goods
• Forklift license is an advantage; candidates without a forklift license will be trained in-house
