Exciting developments are going on at our long-established and thriving Beenham site, which is based less than ten miles from the vibrant city of Reading. We’re now looking for a Maintenance Manager to take the lead on implementing our maintenance strategy while developing and coaching our team of dedicated engineers.This is a newly created role which allows for a clear progression pathway within the business.
What’s the mission?You will deliver the maintenance strategy across the Beenham site through engaging leadership and strong people management skills! People are at the heart of our operation, so it is key that you are an engaging and forward-thinking leader. You will lead the maintenance programme that delivers project benefits and improves asset reliability safely, within budget, and to the highest of standards.
You’ll be leading a team of 5 direct and 12+ indirect reports whilst being responsible for all Maintenance activities and compliance, Health & Safety requirements, continuous improvement, and people development. You’ll build collaborative relationships with internal teams and stakeholders at Marley and Marshalls to ensure that leverage and integration are maximised.
What are the mission-critical skills?- Lead the site Engineering Maintenance team to deliver production plans, service levels & engineering strategy within quality, safety, and cost parameters.
- Responsible for Major Incident Reports (MIR) and work with peers to get to the root cause of significant/complex equipment failures and ensure that robust countermeasures are put in place.
- Implement & deliver the engineering strategy that will develop and drive reliability, and improve quality, safety, and asset utilisation via all direct & indirect reports
- Implement best practice maintenance principles for maintenance
- Manage Engineering systems, structures, resources and processes, and ways of working
- Responsible for the delivery of engineering KPI’s that complement manufacturing performance, manufacturing KPI’s, and objectives
- Recognise best practices from within and outside the business and work with stakeholders in helping to implement these across the business whilst supporting continuous improvement opportunities.
- Coach and develop direct reports. Monitor and improve performance through appraisal, performance management, and personal development plans to ensure that their full potential is realised
