Sonographer (Obstetrics)

Clinical To provide a consistently high standard of sonography to aid clinicians in achieving an accurate diagnosis To produce comprehensive independent ultrasound reports in accordance with department protocols To receive, manage and prioritise referrals based on clinical information provided and department booking protocols To undertake examinations in a professional manner and provide a consistent high standard of care and attention to patients at all times thus maintaining the quality standards of the Trust To liaise and communicate with other members of the multidisciplinary team both within and outside the department To provide clinical supervision to staff within the team and other disciplines To observe Trust policy on reporting of incidents To be responsible for the care of all ultrasound equipment and accessories including maintaining a high level of cleanliness, reporting faults to the line manager without delay To promote and maintain good working relationships with other teams and departments within the hospital and external referrers
