Job Duties:
- Deliver engaging and informative lessons to students in the absence of the regular teacher
- Follow the lesson plans provided by the school and ensure a productive learning environment
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students are focused on their tasks
- Provide feedback to the regular teacher on student progress and any issues encountered
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities as required
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to different teaching environments and age groups
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Experience:
Previous experience working as a teacher or supply teacher preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of the national curriculum
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and engage students
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training or certifications in specific subject areas
- Experience working with diverse student populations
Working Conditions:
- Work in various schools within the designated area
- Regular school hours with occasional extra duties or events
- Collaborate with school staff and support student learning and development
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
