About Our Client

Our client is a prestigious institution within the Not For Profit sector and one of the leading educational establishments based in Oxford. Known for its rich history and commitment to excellence, this large organization holds a significant impact on education and research globally.

• Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and both team and college budgets.
• Coordinate all audit activity.
• Consistently analyse financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with other departments within the college to support overall college goals and objectives.
• Monitor progress and changes, keeping senior leadership abreast of the college's financial status.
• Assist the college leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process.
• Support the leadership in engaging the board's audit and finance committees around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Interim College Accountant should have:

• A degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Experience working as College Accountant, Bursar, Head of Finance or Finance Director.
• Experience working in non-profit or Education/ College environment.
• Living close enough to commute to Oxford
