Teaching Personnel is partnering with an excellent Welsh primary school in the Swansea area to recruit a Teaching Assistant starting in January 2025. If you have prior experience working with children, this is a wonderful opportunity to enter the education sector.We are particularly seeking Welsh-Medium Teaching Assistants to lead interventions with small groups.

- Schedule: Monday to Friday (8:30am – 3:30pm)
Key Responsibilities:
- Welsh-Medium Teaching Assistant to run interventions with small groups of children. Types of interventions include reading, verbal, writing.
- Support teaching of phonics and reading fluency
- Deliver interventions and adapt learning programmes for individuals and groups
- Assess, record, and report on student progress, ensuring accurate evidence
- Prepare interventions and support social/emotional well-being
- - Ability to support students across both Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) as required.
- Follow school policies on child protection, health and safety, confidentiality, and data protection.
- Attend staff and LSA briefings
- Experience or willingness to assist with the delivery of the Welsh curriculum.
Requirements:
- Fluent Welsh speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Welsh and English.
- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Mathematics.
- Eligibility to work in the UK and ability to pass enhanced DBS checks.
- Driving license (preferred but not essential).
- Experience of delivering interventions to support vulnerable learner

- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
- Good understanding of child development and learning processes
