The Role

As a Functional Assessor, you will assess how individuals' disabilities or conditions affect their work life. Using your clinical expertise, you'll take detailed medical histories, perform physical examinations, and produce concise, accurate reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP).

You’ll connect with individuals both face-to-face and via telephone/video, ensuring a compassionate and sensitive approach.You will work unsupervised but as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team, giving you the time and support needed to deliver precise assessments.About You

  • Qualifications: NMC Level 1 Registered Nurse with a minimum of 12 months broad-based clinical post-registration experience within the past 5 years.
  • Skills: Strong oral and written communication, IT proficiency, and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Attributes: Self-aware, honest, empathetic, and motivated to provide quality customer service.
  • Teamwork: Ready to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
