Learning Support Assistant
Here at Teaching Personnel we are looking to recruit Learning Support Assistant's to work with our partner seondary schools across Northampton.
Although experience working within schools is preferred, it is not essential as long as you can demonstrate the kind, caring and supportive nature needed to excel in this role.
Key responsibilities of a LSA include:
- Work with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to support their learning and development.
- Assist in the implementation of individualised learning plans, focusing on both academic and social goals.
- Provide emotional support, helping students feel confident and capable in the classroom.
- Encourage students’ participation in class activities and extracurricular opportunities.
- Help students develop important life skills, including independence and self-confidence.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure the needs of students are met.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting support strategies as necessary.
