Job Title: SLCN Support Assistant

Salary: £90 to £100 Per Day

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to students with Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN) in an educational setting
  • Assist in implementing individualised education plans and strategies for students with SLCN
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
  • Conduct assessments and provide feedback on students' progress
  • Support students in developing their communication skills through various interventions

Required Qualifications:

  • A relevant qualification in Speech and Language Therapy or related field
  • Experience working with individuals with SLCN in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of various communication disorders and their impact on learning

Education:

A qualification in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field

Experience:

Minimum of 1 years of experience working with individuals with SLCN in an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of different communication disorders and their implications
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a caseload effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training or certification in specific interventions for SLCN
  • Experience working with children and young people with SLCN

Working Conditions:

  • The role involves working in an educational setting with students with SLCN
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
  • Potential travel to different schools within Bedford

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
