We have an exciting opportunity to join our Cancer care and Pathology team as a Phlebotomist

You will be working over a wide variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient environments and as such will need to be an effective communicator.

We are conducting a joint recruitment exercise for both our Cancer care and Pathology Phlebotomy teams.
The role for both areas includes a necessity cover both our wards and outpatient settings.

We are looking for motivated individuals that can work as part of a team or on their own to provide cannulation and venesection services to a high standard for our patients here at University Hospitals Southampton.

No experience is necessary as full training will be provided to the successful candidates.

You will learn to take both blood and cannulate patients after a period of training.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

A phlebotomist’s role is to provide a high quality phlebotomy and cannulation service that offers the best possible standards of patient care to inpatients/outpatients and any other area requiring venesection/cannulation services. You will assist in the provision of individualised care, under the supervision of a qualified nurse and others in the health care professional team.
