Assistant Construction Project Manager

Bennett & Game are currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join a forward-thinking and dynamic Main Contractor based in Chichester. The company delivers high-security construction projects across the UK and internationally, with clients spanning both the public and private sectors.Schemes typically range in value from £50k to £10M+, covering complex refurbishments, secure fit-outs and bespoke new builds.
This is a rare opportunity to join a growing business operating in a niche sector, with the chance to develop your career on nationally critical projects. The role is primarily UK-based with hybrid working options and will include regular travel to sites across London, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.Travel overseas for site visits (10-20 days annually) and is not essential.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of construction projects from inception to completion, assisting with procurement, quality control, logistics, client liaison and project planning. This role offers excellent long-term progression, structured training, and support towards professional development.
Assistant Project Manager Salary & Benefits- Salary: £26,000 - £34,000 DOE

- Assist with the planning, coordination, and delivery of secure construction projects
- Support procurement, logistics and documentation for live projects
- Attend project meetings with clients, contractors, and consultants
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and feasibility reports
- Support senior project and construction managers across multiple sites
- Help manage project schedules, risks, and deliverables
- Hybrid working from Chichester office, with site travel across London & the Home Counties
- Relevant qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field (HNC, HND, Degree etc.)
- Minimum of 1 year's industry experience post-degree (including placement year) is advantageous but not essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong work ethic and desire to develop within a specialist sector
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
